General Description

Agents will contact and receive calls from consumers via telephone in an attempt to collect overdue debt owed to our clients. During the process, agents must be able to answer consumers’ questions regarding their account, negotiate payment in full or an acceptable repayment arrangement. Agencys must also be able to overcome obstacles and/or objections while keeping control of the conversation while maintaining a polite tone and manner.

• Making Outbound telephone calls
• Negotiating repayment
• Accurately updating Consumer account information
• Clearly documenting call results
• Leaving messages
• Using various trace tools to locate consumer information
• Exceed minimum performance requirements
• Adhering to provincial and state laws
• Bilingual an asset (English, French, Spanish) but not required. Quebec applicants my be bilingual (French, English)
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays

Skills Set Preferred

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Work well under pressure or stress
• Quebec applicants must be fluent in both French and English
• Other applicants must be fluent in English; additional languages such as French and Spanish are an asset
• Able to meet targets and deadlines
• Effective communication skills using a professional demeanour
